FAQ’s about styling
Q. How does the process work?
A. The process begins with a complimentary phone call or coffee date to determine the areas you need help with. My goal is to help you know what looks good, what you need and how to find it in an environmentally friendly way. As we work together I want to educate you about your silhouettes, colors, outfit creation, clothing care and shopping. Armed with this knowledge you can then choose to find your own wardrobe bliss on your own or with my help.
Q. Will using a stylist really help me end my wardrobe drama and save me time and money?
A. Yes. Knowing what silhouettes work for you, knowing your colors and knowing what gaps there are in your closet will mean that you have something to wear for every occasion. You won’t find yourself staring in the closet before an event befuddled about what to wear. You will go from wardrobe drama to wardrobe bliss.
Q. Can’t I just use an online or in store shopping stylist?
A. No. That is a choice but not necessarily the best one. Remember their best interest is to sell you more stuff not necessarily help you create your own personal style. In store stylists can be great for that one outfit for a once in a lifetime event. They won’t help you inventory what you have to fill the gaps and create a blissful wardrobe full of joyous outfits that make you feel fabulous.
Q. Do I have to buy a lot of things?
A. No. My first preference is to use what you have in new and interesting ways and then determine what you might need to fill the gaps. These gaps can be filled by spending as much or as little as you want. It is your choice to shop at high end boutiques, thrift or consignment stores or even free cycle.
Q. Don’t only vain or pretentious people care about how they look and use stylists?
A. No. Stylists are for anyone who is tired of spending too much time looking for the right clothes and ending up with nothing to wear.
Q. Will my stylist judge me?
A. No. We are not judgmental. We know that finding the right clothing can be very confusing because of the quantity of clothing and messaging that is given to consumers every day overtly and subtly. We have your best interest in mind with the goal of creating clarity and ending confusion resulting in joyous style.
Q. What will it cost me?
A. Our services are $75 an hour. We can discuss your budget and needs to more closely determine overall cost when we have our first free phone appointment.
